Cisitalia 202 Coupe
Sports car manufacturer Cisitalia was established by Italian tycoon Piero Dusio soon after WWII. The company distinguished itself in numerous races with cars fitted with Fiat engines. The Cisitalia 202 Coupe designed by Pinin Farina featured a beautiful body with integrated fenders. It was added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1951 as one of eight cars – or “moving sculptures” – that represented the best of modern auto body design. The 202 Coupe shown in this photo finished 5th at the Mille Miglia open-road race in Italy in 1948.
