Developed with a particular focus on preventive safety, the Toyopet Corona Model RT incorporated a number of safety features, including a body structure that effectively absorbed the impact of front and rear collisions, shock-absorbing bumpers, and an “OK monitor” that alerted the driver to any anomalies detected. In February 1975, the TTC-C catalytic converter was installed to meet tighter emission control standards.
