Datsun Bluebird Model P312
In July 1959, Nissan radically redesigned the 210 series of Datsun sedans that succeeded the 110, producing the model 310 (better known as the first-generation Bluebird). Capitalizing on years of market research, the new model featured innovative technologies and elegant styling with the robustness of the model 210, quickly dominating the small car market. Its Fancy Deluxe grade model deserves special mention, as it was the world’s first car specifically designed to appeal to female motorists. The last of the 310 series with minor modifications was released in 1962 as the model 312, which gave way to the model 410 the following year.
