“フライングフェザーと同じ設計者(富谷龍一氏)により、富士自動車(当時、日産自動車系のエンジンメーカー)は当時としては画期的なFRPのフルモノコック構造の3輪キャビンスクーターを送り出した。空冷単気筒2サイクルエンジンを備えたボディは、わずか130kgで最高速度は時速60km。限られたスペースを生かした室内や空力的なボディデザインなど革命的な試みではあったが、FRPの製作技術がこれに伴わず、わずか85台製作されただけであった。”

The Fujicabin was designed by Ryuichi Tomiya, who also designed the Flying Feather. Manufactured by Nissan-affiliated engine maker Fuji Jidosha, the Fujicabin was a 3-wheeler with a full monocoque body made of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP), which was a highly advanced material at the time. Fitted with an air-cooled, 2-stroke, 1-cylinder engine and a body weighing only 130 kg, the car could attain a top speed of 60 km/h. While the small but utilitarian cabin and aerodynamic styling were revolutionary, the FRP molding process was fraught with problems, and only 85 cars were produced.
