“1971年トリノ・ショーでフェラーリのトップモデル、365GT/4 BBが発表された。フェラーリ初の12気筒DOHCのミッドシップエンジンで、ボディデザインはフェラーリおなじみのピニンファリーナ。展示車両は、1976年パリサロンで発表された5リッターに排気量アップされたBB512 であり、1976年から84年まで900台以上が生産された。なお、排気量アップの理由は、排ガス対策によるパワーの低下をカバーするためであった。”

Ferrari BB512
The 365 GT4 BB was the top model from Ferrari that was announced at the 1971 Turin Motor Show. This was the first mid-engine 12-cylinder DOHC vehicle from Ferrari and the body was designed by long-time Ferrari partner, Pininfarina. At the Paris Motor Show in 1976 the 365 GT4 BB was updated as the BB 512 and featured a 5-liter engine. Over 900 of these BB512 models were produced from 1976 until 1984. The engine displacement was raised to compensate for the decreased output resulting from measures to reduce emissions.
