Cadillac Series 60 Special
For some years after WWII, Cadillac offered nothing new except some souped-up prewar models. The fully redesigned 1948 model marked a departure from the past, however. Its futuristic design — including the industry’s first curved windshield and tailfins reminiscent of a twin-body fighter plane — struck a chord with consumers, and had an enormous impact on auto design throughout the world.
