78年式 ヤマハ XS 650 special

伝統的なバーチカルツインエンジン搭載のTX650をベースに、ティアドロップタンクやチョッパー風ハンドルバー、キング＆クィーンシート、ショートメガホンマフラー、足回りには１６インチタイヤを装備し、本格的なホースバックライディングスタイルを実現。ヤマハ　“アメリカン”クルーザーの代名詞、「スペシャル」シリーズの先駆けとなった。

This model featured the traditional vertical twin engine of the sport model TX650 as the base power unit. It had features like a teardrop tank, and chopper style handlebars along with a King & Queen seat and short megaphone type muffler, all mounted on 16-inch wheels. It achieved the horseback type riding feeling so popular in North America and would be the predecessor to the “Special” series of Yamaha American-style cruiser bikes.
