“ヤマハ発動機初の2気筒・125ccスポーツモデル。従来の3ポート（吸気・掃気・排気）に2つの補助掃気ポートを追加、排気効率を高めた5ポート（ジェットポート）式エンジンを初めて採用し、ツイン・キャブレター、分離給油システム「オートルーブ」、リターン式5段変速機も装備していた。ビジネス向けのスタンダードモデルやアップマフラーのスクランブラーモデルも存在していた。”

AS1-D
This was Yamaha Motor’s first 125cc 2-cylinder sports model. It employed Yamaha’s first 5-port (jet port) engine that added two auxiliary scavenging ports to the previous 3-port (intake, scavenging, exhaust) system to improve exhaust efficiency. It was also equipped with twin carburetors, the “Autolube” separate oil supply system and a return type 5-speed transmission for outstanding running performance. There were also standard models suitable for business-use and scrambler models with high-mount mufflers available.
